    Tayla Wells

    Managing Director

    Tayla Wells has been with Thermal Scanners for more than 10 years. 

    Starting as administration support and quickly working her way up from Contract Manager, General Manager and now Managing Director.  Over this time she has created, defined and driven the core pillars of Thermal Scanners being: Quality, Customer Service, Attention to detail and Safety.  Tayla has helped Thermal Scanners implement multiple systems and works directly with our biggest clients to ensure every service is client focused and delivered on-time.

    Robert Wells

    Technical Manager

    Robert Wells is the Technical Manager for Thermography and On-Line HV Partial Discharge Testing. 

    As part of his role he checks the work of other thermographers to ensure technically accuracy across all works. He has been with Thermal Scanners for more than 7 years and has helped develop internal standards, training programs and work health and safety processes.  Robert is a Mechanical Engineer with experience in Electrical Engineering and Materials Engineering at a post graduate level.  Robert has helped complete some of Thermal Scanners largest and most technical sites, working on Gas Turbine Power Plants, Data Centres and large scale hospital electrical infrastructure.

    Shaun Chalwell

    Field Manager

    Shaun Chalwell is a seasoned electrician with more than 20 years practical experience in a wide range of diverse and challenging environments. 

    Over this time Shaun has worked in a range of highly technical and challenging industries including: greenfield and brownfield mining construction and operations, hazardous areas installation and maintenance and more recently Thermography.  Shaun leads the electrical compliance and works of Thermal Scanners helping to support all team members to ensure all electrical work is completed in-line with Australian regulations, laws and standards.

    Thomas Cooney

    Lead Thermographer Victoria

    Thomas Cooney has been with Thermal Scanners for more than two (2) years and in this time has acquired a deep and technical understanding of thermography. 

    Thomas is already a qualified CAT II Thermographer with AINDT Certification and specalisation in Electrical Systems.  Beyond this Thomas is a qualified A Grade Electrician with years of experience in large scale generator driven electrical distribution systems for stage lighting systems for movie production.  Thomas currently heads up all works in Victoria as the technical supervisor for Victoria, helping to ensure compliance with all electrical laws, acts and regulations whilst also ensuring the timely and quality delivery of works.

    Nikki Loxton

    Quality Assurance Officer

    Nikki Loxton is the key person behind all quality reports at Thermal Scanners. 

    All reports are carefully reviewed, any mistakes or phrasing issues fixed and finalised by Nikki prior to issuance to clients.  Nikki has been working at Thermal Scanners for more than 3 years and is personally responsible for ensuring all works meet Thermal Scanners exacting standards before handover.  Nikki’s outstanding attention to detail ensures uniformity across all of Thermal Scanners reports across our various services. At times Nikki will complete quality assurance checks on more than 50 reports in a single day!

    Kerston

    Scheduling Coordinator

    Kerston is our lead Scheduling Coordinator or as we call her, logistics wizard. 

    Kerston helps manage schedules across various staff in multiple states and locations; ensuring a balance of logistical efficiency, client satisfaction and maintaining our field staff’s balance of life and work.  Kerston has always worked in fast paced environments and thrives off helping to ensure work is completed on-time in a client focused manner.
