Many people don’t realise that fire indicator panels are electrical equipment and as such need to be inspected for faults to ensure working operation during an emergency. A quick and easy method to non-destructively check the electrical components is to utilise thermal scanning to check for any potential faults. This is done whilst the board is under normal operation and can finds faults such as:

Faulty components,
Loose connections, and
Unbalanced loads.

Thermal Scanners provide a detailed and comprehensive report which includes a detailed list of all boards scanned, with any exceptions shown as both a thermal and visual image including temperatures. This scan can also be completed in conjunction with other services such as Electrical Thermal Imaging or RCD Testing which is required by legislation.
