At Thermal Scanners, we have put together our top three Frequently Asked Questions from our clients:
1. Do you supply a report with the Thermal Survey?
Yes all of our reports are precise, easy to understand and available within 48 hours of the completed inspection. The report will contain a list the boards scanned on the scope of works and a selection of digital and thermal images will also be included. Upon identifying a highly dangerous priority 1 fault that needs to be repaired within 24 hours, we will fast track the report so that it is supplied within 12 hours of the completion of the inspection. This inspection report of the critical fault is supplied in conjunction with an on the spot verbal notification.
2. How long will the survey take?
This depends on the scope of work and the number of switchboards. In general it can take approximatley 1-2hours, longer for larger sites.
3. Will the survey interfere with the Electrical supply?
No a Thermal Survey does not interfere with the electrical supply. A Thermographic Inspection or Thermal Survey is regarded as the most powerful, remote, non-intrusive inspection technique available to establish the integrity & safety of electrical equipment. We do recommend that the survey should be carried out within normal operating hours so that there is a sufficient electrical load on the boards.
